Aramitan is a word of the language of the indigenous Guarani people in Brazil. The word means: "the child who unites heaven and earth". The song Aramitan was composed by Brazilian musicians for the social project ARAMITAN in São Paulo and the young people of Aramitan have now shared this song with us.

The Aramitan Social Project in Sao Paulo encourages young people and adults to take responsibility for social renewal. Since 2004, the initiative has been building a community centre for children and young people at risk. Aramitan means "the child who unites earth and sky". With the participation of people from all over the world, Aramitan is working on a different kind of globalisation - the globalisation of love, commitment and responsibility. Aramitan wants to contribute to making their motto a reality: "Another world is possible".

The collection of songs from all over the world was created as part of the single-day campaign Waldorf-One-World-Day, WOW-Day for short. On this day, children and young people are directly and actively committed to a better world. Besides, they organize a multiplicity of special donation actions, that connect humans on all continents with one another.
