The Friends of Waldorf Education take the protection of personal data very seriously. For this reason, we want to inform our donors and users of our website about what personal information we collect and how that information may be used under the statutory law of the Federal Privacy Act and the Telemedia Act.

Collection of personal data when making a donation
The Friends of Waldorf Education collect and process various personal information of our donors, including donation amount and contact information (address, phone number and email address). If you transfer a donation to us, we need your address in order to send you the tax receipt. We will not sell, publish, or rent personal data.
Collection of personal data on our website
When using our website you do not need to provide any personal information to the Friends of Waldorf Education. However, if you decide to use the online donation form to donate, your personal data is needed for the orderly conduct of the donation process. Your data is thereby transferred to us in an encrypted manner (SSL certificate).
Processing of personal data when making a donation
Tax regulations require that we record and keep contact information and donation amounts. The data will be treated strictly confidentially in accordance with the German legal regulations of data protection. Your personal data will be used in the first place to send you a donation receipt for your donation.
In order to be able to issue a receipt, please mention the purpose of your donation or provide your address on the electronic donation form incase of a donation. When making a one-time only donation, you will receive the tax receipt usually within the following month. For annual donations and regular donations you will receive the donation receipt at the beginning of the following year.
Transfer of personal data to third parties
Your personal information is kept strictly confidential. However, in order to give the supported projects abroad the opportunity to thank their donors, we provide them with the data of their donors in an electronically secured way. A transfer of data to third countries will take place, in case the funded institutions are located in these countries.
Provision of information
When you enter your address on the donation form or on the bank transfer, we will send you our newsletter 2x per year as well as usually 2 calls for donations, to keep you informed about news from our work and give you feedback about how your donations reaches its purpose. You can choose not to receive the newsletter and current call for donations at any time. Just call 030 617026 30 or send us an email to email@example.com. Our electronic newsletter “Keep up with the Friends” will be sent to you only if have registered on our website or if you have ticked the “receive newsletter” box with a donation by bank transfer form. You may object to such registration at any time. In order to unsubscribe, it is sufficient to let us know electronically. For sending out our print newsletter we use an external service provider. Your contact will be stored there for the purpose of sending out the newsletter. From our external service provider we collect statistics on individual mailing, but not for other purposes. The service provider is obliged to treat personal data confidentially. Our members and supporters receive news from the Waldorf educational work worldwide several times a year through our membership newsletter. You, will receive the members newsletter if you have specified an address or by electronic means, if you have given us an Email address. Members and sponsors can unsubscribe at any time.
Integration of external "social" services such as Facebook
The Friends of Waldorf Education collect general statistical information through Google Analytics with each visit of our website. This includes information such as IP addresses, the number of visitors to the web pages or the use of certain features or services. This information is only used for statistical analysis. Thereby the Friends of Waldorf Education do not make personal assessments of any individual’s information, but raise only general aggregated statistics that are then evaluated. Withdrawal of consent for data utilization and deletion of data
You can withdraw your consent with the data utilisation that you have given us when registering for certain services (e.g. Newsletter subscription), at any time. All you need to do is to write an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Right to information
Upon written request we will inform you about what data we have stored about you. In addition, you have the right to block, change and delete your data at any given time.
