Pust wsegda budjet solnze - May there always be sunshine

A song from Russia

"Pust vsegda budjet solnze" means "May there always be sunshine" and the song was composed by the Russian musician Arkady Ostrowski in 1962. In the following years, the English version of this song "May There Always Be Sunshine" became known as a song of international peace movements. The German version "Immer lebe die Sonne" was a well-known song in the GDR. The verses of the song are a call to humanity to keep the peace for the sake of the children. This song was shared with us by the Nadjeschda institution in Kyrgyzstan.

This song was shared with us by the curative education centre Nadjeschda in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. This centre for alternative and free education takes care of children and young people who have been classified in Kyrgyzstan as "not capable of education", which means that they do not receive any public support for kindergarten, school and corresponding therapies and are not integrated into society. Curative education, with elements of Waldorf education, the education of Janusz Korczak and other forms of therapy are worked with these children and young people, so that in the course of time half of the children can move to state institutions. Nadjeschda is a Russian name and means hope.
