Song of the indigenious Mbya Guarani
Ara Pyau means spring and the song is a traditional song of the indigenous Mbya Guarani people. The Mbya Guarani live scattered over a large area in South America in many different countries. The children of the Kyringue'i Aty Ñeovanga Kindergarten in Argentina belong to the Mbya Guarani tribe and as they especially love to sing the traditional songs, they shared this song with us.
The Kyringue´i Aty Ñeovanga Waldorf Kindergarten is located in a school in the indigenous community of Ñamandu. The children there live in palm-covered huts in the middle of the jungle of north-eastern Argentina. Their parents are all illiterate and struggle against poverty and malnutrition of their children. Since 2016, there has been a Waldorf kindergarten in Ñamandu, which was originally founded by two volunteers. It is now run by two parents - Mirian Ayala and Diego Escobar - and there are already two groups in other villages. In all three kindergartens, the traditional songs are diligently sung with guitar and Mbaipu'i.

The collection of songs from all over the world was created as part of the single-day campaign Waldorf-One-World-Day, WOW-Day for short. On this day, children and young people are directly and actively committed to a better world. Besides, they organize a multiplicity of special donation actions, that connect humans on all continents with one another.
