Three years ago, with the help of donors, the school was able to build an additional building, allowing it to offer secondary classes. Moldovan regulations require secondary schools to have two parallel classes per grade, which the school can now accommodate. Demand is high - more children apply than can be accepted. Including kindergarten, around 700 students now attend the school.

Moldova is one of the poorest countries in Europe, with an average income pro capita of around €200. The war in neighbouring Ukraine has also negatively impacted the economy. Families at the school are struggling, yet every year the school participates in the WOW-Day organized by the Friends of Waldorf Education. At this festive event, students sell handmade goods and perform to raise money for other Waldorf schools in need.
