How can our children be guided in kindergarten, pre-school and the subsequent years of school in such a way that they are prepared for the demands of our time, while remaining healthy and becoming resilient? What contribution can Waldorf education make to answering this question?  

This key question pervaded all parts of the event. The participants were mostly teachers from kindergartens and schools, but also parents, therapists, doctors and social workers, as well as employees from schools and public administration. The two working days were introduced and concluded with lectures by Philipp Reubke (Pedagogical Section at the Goetheanum), Alfred Rahmen and Jürgen Lohmann (both lecturers in teacher training).

In almost 20 workshops, the guests were able to ask questions on theoretical topics and enter into dialogue with each other; however, there were above all practical workshops in which people painted, sang and moved around. All the workshops were run by colleagues from Turkey who are trained in Waldorf education.

It was a friendly and very well-disposed atmosphere, full of joy and affection, as well as interest and curiosity. The organising team of six did a great job, and ensured that all events ran smoothly, and that the guests' presentations were translated simultaneously in perfect fashion.
 
May this event help to ensure that Waldorf education in Turkey continues to grow and flourish! It was a pleasure to be part of this weekend.
