WOW-Day in Taiwan: „Many activities were initiated by the children“
Worldwide solidarity with Waldorf institutions – that is the idea behind Waldorf-One-World, WOW-Day for short. For one day, committed people collect donations in many different ways and give the money to Waldorf facilities in need. For the second time, the Waldorf School in Taipei, Taiwan, has been participating in the worldwide campaign day. WOW-Day coordinator Chi-Shan LIN tells us how WOW-Day 2019 went:
„This year, we had not only booths to sell our hand-made products; games designed by our own children, but also had more experiencing type of activities. Many of the activities were initiated by children themselves, including teaching hand-work, making posters, performing and so on. To correspond with Waldorf 100, instead of having marathon, we brought the sustainable idea to people by selling seedling plants and used products. Children sharing what they have been learning at school also were a kind of relay for education. Many of the participants gave very positive feedbacks. After a busy morning, in spite of the tiredness, both children and adults were so full in heart. We hope that what we gave didn't only multiply in our heart, also for the ones who received!”

The time frame for this year’s WOW Day is from 29 September to 29 November 2020. We invite all people in curative educational and social therapeutic institutions, as well as all students at Waldorf Schools to be a part of this worldwide campaign and to organize their own WOW Day this year. 100 percent of the proceeds will be forwarded to Waldorf and social projects.
