For some years now the Waldorf School movement in Uruguay has been growing slowly but steadily. In early November, a federation was founded connecting all Waldorf educational institutions (schools and kindergartens as well as curative education institutions) in the country. The aim is mutual support among the 13 founding members as well as the coordination and promotion of new initiatives. The main office of the association is on a newly acquired piece of land near Montevideo, on which also a new upper school and a kindergarten will start in 2020. This was also the site of the ceremonial foundation of the association.
