Since 1993 we have offered social voluntary services for almost 4.000 people in about 400 institutions within 59 countries worldwide.
Currently about 500 participants take part in our voluntary services each year.
Our international voluntary services
Since 1993 we enabled almost 4.000 people to do a social voluntary service in about 400 institutions within 59 countries worldwide. Currently about 500 participants take part in our voluntary services each year. They share the live and work with the local people and doing so gain intense experiences on their path of life.
Since 1993 our office in Karlsruhe organises and supports international voluntary services worldwide. Our several program schemes are highly demanded. International volunteers as well can do voluntary services in Germany since 2003.
All volunteers are working in institutions based on Waldorf pedagogy and anthroposophy: Living communities (handicapped and not-handicapped people), schools, kindergartens and social projects.
Sending
In the beginning there where only a few young men doing a voluntary service abroad (instead of their alternative civilian service). But then our voluntary services grew fast and we established a variety of possibilities.
Together with the growing number of volunteers and program schemes we successfully increased the continuous and professional quality of our support and mentoring.
Incoming
Since 2003 also volunteers from abroad can do a voluntary service in Germany and make new experiences here. Initially this was only possible within the European Voluntary Service (EVS). To better satisfy the requests we developed our own independent incoming program in 2006: Voluntary Services in Germany.
