Just in time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of independence of Kyrgyzstan in 2011, the Children's Center Nadezhda has received the second highest order of the Republic. The country’s President Rosa Otunbayeva honored the center for its successful work with disabled children.

For years Nadezhda is successful in with its local integration work, but also its cross-cultural educational work. The award is an important sign for the children's center.

In the same year government authorities have repeatedly questioned the center. Non-governmental organizations in Kyrgyzstan are exposed to the public interests wishing to take back the building and/or property.
