Building permit issued for a new school building in Vietnam
Finally in 2011, the "Peaceful Bamboo Family" in Hué has received an official building permit after long and tough negotiations. The special education facility plans now to build a new building for their language training on the newly devoted piece of land. The Bamboo-Family is the first project of Eurasia, which did not fall under the usual promotion of partner organizations, but began with the purchase of a piece of land and had to be built up as an institution by and by. Until then, there was no comparable training and community-life facility for children with special needs in Vietnam. Therefore many administrative hurdles had to be overcome before the official opening was celebrated in 2009.
Furthermore, the remedial education project was also recognized as a official member of the international Camphill movement in 2011. They are therefore formally the first Asian institution that has received this recognition.
And all good things come in threes. On top of that the Ministry registered them as non-governmental organization for International Cooperation in Vietnam. As a result the initiative will benefit from public support in the future.
