Anniversary wishes from the Federation

Happy Anniversary!

The German Federation of Waldorf Schools congratulates the Friends of Waldorf Education on the occasion of their 40th Anniversary. On 20 November 2011 the Friends were honored for their many years of working with Waldorf schools around the globe.

At the general meeting in Stuttgart, Henning Kullak-Ublick talked about the outstanding work of the Friends of Waldorf Education and great commitment of schools in Germany. As an example he cited the Lüneburg Waldorf School, which donated the revenues of their theatre performance for the Lebanon mission of the Emergency Education Team. “The teacher described the impressions she had gained at the World Teachers' Conference in 2004 to her students by using a map of the world on which all Waldorf schools were marked. The agglomeration of Waldorf schools in Central Europe looked to her like a heart, so the heart needs to recognize when the toe is not feeling well,” said Henning Kullak-Ublick when talking about the task of the Friends of Waldorf Education.

Let’s hope the heart continues to bet for a long time to come!
